Colossians 3:2 – “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Everyday I have a choice about what I will focus on and look to. When I start my day out with the Lord, getting into prayer and His Word, my day is not perfect, but my attitude and countenance are lifted up. I’m reminded what life is really about. I’m reminded about where to look and who to look to. 

When I start my day without seeking God, my day is not the same. I let minor circumstances get to me and I’m easily irritated. If I look ahead without looking up, then my day will be difficult.

May we remember to look up first. To seek the Lord so we can set the spiritual tone for today. To focus our gaze on our amazing Father who loves us and has our  best interests in mind!
